What is the difference between palm wax and soy wax?

Both palm and soy wax are plant-based wax and are environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Palm wax has a higher melting point, therefore able to give out more scent and also retain scent longer.

Our palm wax is 100% natural, GMO-free and derived from palm trees. Paraffin, on the other hand, is derived from petroleum, making them the cheapest wax. However, Paraffin releases harmful chemicals to the air and is not recommended.

If you find ourself with difficulty breathing while a candle is burning, it like likely due to paraffin.
How much does each weighs and how long does it burn for?

Each weighs 190g and burns for 40 hours. Please ensure each time you light it up, the top layer is fully melted to prevent tunneling.
Is candle soot harmful?

No. The minuscule amount of soot produced by a candle is the natural byproduct of incomplete combustion. Candle soot is composed primarily of elemental carbon particles, and is similar to the soot given off by kitchen toasters and cooking oils. These everyday household sources of soot are not considered a health concern, and are chemically different from the soot formed by the burning of diesel fuel, coal, gasoline, etc.
I love scented candles. Why don’t candle manufacturers add a lot more fragrance?

There is a maximum amount of fragrance that can be added to a candle before it no longer burns cleanly or properly.
How long should I burn a candle?

Do burn for at least 2-3 hours each session, or until the top layer of has fully melted. This will allow the candles to burn evenly and prevent tunnelling.
Do you use essential oils in your candles?

No, we use fragrance oils. While we love essential oils, we think that fragrance oils are better for use in candles, as the scent throw is stronger. Many essential oils tend to evaporate when they are burned because the flash point is so low.
Can the jar be repurposed?

Place your candle in a warm oven and allow the wax to liquify. Carefully dump and compost the wax out and wipe clean. Soap and water can then be used to remove the wax residue. Use to store pens, plant succulents in or just recycle!
